Paying more attention to running tests than to designing them.
Unreviewed test designs.
Being too specific about test inputs and procedures.
Not noticing and exploring "irrelevant" oddities.
Checking that the product does what it's supposed to do, but not that it doesn't do what it isn't supposed to do.
Test suites that are understandable only by their owners.
Testing only through the user-visible interface.
Poor bug reporting.
Adding only regression tests when bugs are found.
Failing to take notes for the next testing effort.

1. Think negative about product (like application not working properly)
2. Test the application with intend to bugs.
3. Think application as end user prospective.
4. Clear the doubt about application and then test the application.
5. Don't compromise for quality of product

Present innovative idea about to use the application so comfortably that general people can accept quickly.  some times end user does not express or explain what makes him comfortable to use the application in that case your innovative idea may useful and user gets the idea.

I have seen few applications has really a good functionalities but users do not feel comfortable to use it and they ignore to use the application and some are not enough good to see but user drives the application like he has the owner of the application.:)

Kuthadiprem ,

Re:

I have found this to be very true also.   A thick skin to let things go will help a long way.

Most Important think to become successful test engineer is to take whole responsibility of application & should test application as an owner of it....  :)
