It will be better to mention in which department you are working. If it's related to software domain then your job will become comparatively easier.

From your questions it's not clear what suggestion you are looking for. If I suggest you to move to software testing will this be sufficient for you? You need a solid plan for your career. You decided to be in software testing, good then what next?
You should have knowledge of software testing methodologies, then your next task will become to learn what is software testing methodologies, what is manual testing and automation testing and so on till you reach to your goal!

Don't stop thinking - what is next? Keep on conquering one step at a time.

i am working as functional and manual tester in BFSI domain for 4.5 years.the career path i observed is that the pay and growth for the manual testing. i am planning to switch my career to QTP/Load runner/business intelligence tools.can you tell me which of these is good for a manual tester and what are the career options in business intelligence domain

I have done BE(Electronics) with educational gaps in acads..n 2006 passout,i did testing course but cudnt get job .i had financial problem so joined bpo worked thr for 2 yrs but was never happy with job cuz m interested in testing ONLY so i quit that job for making carrier in testing..i gave ISTQB i clered but now its 6 months gap..and i am getting calls for 2yr exp positions.i was planing to do qtp but m worried if i wont get job in qtp i will forget qtp and also wastage of money..cuz have financial prob.

Don't frustrate. First of all be clear in your goal. I think you are too much confused in career. Please be cool, search openings, refine your resume and apply. Attend the interviews with confidence, surely you can.

According to me, first you get some job atleast in manual. And then start learn QTP. Wishes...

I am having 4 yrs of exp in Software Manual Testing, I do know fundamentals of QTP.

Now I want to change my career towards Testing tools. As such Can you please suggest which tool is best? Automation (QTP) or Performance (Load Runner) ?

I want to know in demand wise in long run? and which offers more Salary Package?
