Hi,

    1.Win Runner is used for Functionaltiy Testing and regression Testing.

    2.Test Director is used for Test Management Tool.
    Releated to testing all details to be keep in this tool.

Winrunner:
-Winrunner is a Functional testing tool,
-You can record the script automatically or manually you can write scripts.
-This is mainly use for Regression testing.

Vs

Test director:
-Test director is Management tool.
-Test director tool contains:
1. Test Plan
2. Test Cases
3. Time estimation
4. Shedule documents
5. Bug Lists
